The Rotary Club of Dabolim has taken up the initiative to collect a database of potential blood donors. The purpose behind collecting this data is to save precious time in case of an emergency. If there is an available database of people a per their blood group, it becomes easier to identify a donor when needed. Citizens (above 18 years) who wish to register themselves can register here.
You can also SMS your Name, Age, Blood Group, Contact Number and City to 9225877345.
The collected database will be maintained by select Rotarians and may eventually be shared with affiliated hospitals. Registered donors will be contacted whenever needed but it is not binding on any registered donor to donate blood at the given time.

The Rotary Club of Dabolim Goa has been selected to participate in the Innovative and Flexible Rotary Club Pilot Program.
Feedback from numerous Rotary surveys and focus groups has repeatedly shown that prospective qualified members and younger-aged Rotarians need flexibility to become or remain involved with a Rotary club. The Innovative and Flexible Rotary Club Pilot Program will focus on letting clubs self-determine their operations to fit better with the needs of their members and community. The pilot is focused on encouraging Rotary clubs to be fun, dynamic, diverse, resilient, tolerant, interested in trying new things, member driven, inspirational, and relationship rich.
Also see Fact Sheet on 2011-14 Innovative and Flexible Rotary Club Pilot Program on the Rotary International website, and about Pilot Clubs.
