We hosted dinner for the GSE team from District 9470 Australia at Lava, Chicalim. The delegation included Michael Collin, Rob Pannell, Melissa Croswell, Honor Putland and Belinda Truman. District 9470 currently has 34 clubs from Perth, Western Australia.
We held our first Garage Sale at Kharewado, Vasco. The items on sale were recieved as donations from various people. Most of the items on sale were pre-used but in a good condition. Old and new clothing, footwear, toys, household knick-knacks and some home appliances were sold. The sale helped us raise funds for our school project.
The team was led by Gwenn (Real Estate Broker) – Assistant Governor of the District and International Service Director of the Rotary Club Of Westhampton, NY. She was accompanied by Polly (Soil District Technician), Justin (Physician), Kevin (Physician Assistant) and Erin (International Education).
The team was hosted by Jennifer and Charuta (Polly) and Lalit (Gwenn), and other members were hosted by Madhav and Nikhil from the Vasco club. It was interesting to hear about their experiences and gain insight into Rotary in the Long Island. Apart from visits to the Vasco club projects, our club briefed the team leader about our proposed school project, objectives and process. The GSE team also participated in the Pulse Polio Immunization.
